Invitation to the “Art of Coexistence: Intercultural and Anti-Discrimination Workshop”
We warmly invite you to join the workshop which will take place on November 6, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM at the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Wrocław, Library Room 2 (ul. Koszarowa 3, Wrocław).
The workshop will be conducted by Dr Anna Cichecka and Dr Olga Nowaczyk and is open to all interested students.
Please note that the workshop will be held in English.
Workshop Schedule:
9:00-9:30 Introduction and Opening Session: Integration & Contract
9:30-11:00 Identifying Differences, Stereotypes, and Prejudices. Reflection on the impact of stereotypes on human interactions and strategies to overcome them
11:00-11:15 Break
11:15-12:30 Intercultural Communication. Strategies and challenges, practical exercises, and case studies
12:30-1:30 Lunch Break
1:30-3:00 Responding to Unequal Treatment and Discrimination, including Hate Speech: Understanding feedback, practical advice on how to prepare and use it in everyday situations
3:00-3:15Break
3:15-3:45 Summary and Discussion: Reflection session
