Course selection and Course registration – information for incoming students!

Summer semester 2024/2025

Bachelor degree – Political Science (until 2024-2025)

Master’s degree – Political Science (until 2024-2025)

Courses enumerated in semesters IV and VI will be conducted in the summer semester 2024/2025.

Specializations will be chosen by full-time students before the beginning of the summer semester. These courses can be freely selected by incoming students while preparing Learning agreements, but there is no guarantee that all of them will be finally conducted. After the arrival incoming students should prepare Changes to learning agreement with a modified list of courses, if necessary.

Bachelor degree – Political Science (from 2024-2025)

Master’s degree – Political Science (from 2024-2025)

Courses enumerated in the second semester will be conducted in the summer semester 2024/2025.

Study programmes contain the following categories:

  • “E” means exam which is the final and formal completion of a course, usually composed of both lecture and classwork. Exams should be taken in the examination session or, if students want, also earlier (zero-term).
  • “Z/o” is an ordinary form of passing classwork. Attending classwork is obligatory, whereas attending lectures is not.
  • If a course is composed of lecture and classwork, students pass (z/o) classwork first and then they have the right to take an exam. Exams cannot be taken (and passed!) if classwork of that course has not been passed.

Importantly, “z/o” passing must be achieved before the examination session.

We presume that incoming students prepare their Ba and Ma theses supervised by their home universities, therefore we do not offer Ba and Ma seminars for incoming students.

Other institutes departments and faculties offer their courses separately. Please browse their websites.

Course registration – summer semester 2024/2025

Course schedules are available usually a week before the beginning of the semester on the Institute’s website.

In the Institute of Political Science students register on courses on-site, that is, by attending the first class of each course.

If attending the first class is not possible, please contact course coordinators by e-mail and declare your will of registration.

Other institutes, departments and faculties have their own rules of registration including online registration. Please follow instructions on their websites.
